Conor - Football and Babysitting - So Grown Up

Well, the football season has come to an end with a very devastating loss for Conor's team. The first round of the playoffs was last Saturday and the team went into the game with confidence. Having beat this team twice in the regular season, their expectations were high. I guess the team came into this with nothing to loose and trampled us in the first half. We came back in the second half - but it was a little too late. Dad says that this is why he loves football. It doesn't matter what your record is going into the playoffs - in the playoffs your record is wiped clean and it is do or die.

On another note - Conor and Mack have been helping me out in the nursery with the two year olds. The kids are so great with the two year olds and make my job so much easier - especially Conor. He is a magnet to these little ones. He reads with them, plays hide and seek, etc. Well, Conor got a call the other day for a babysitting job. The mom cuts hair out of her home (including my hair) but needed someone to play with her son and her normal sitter could not help out. Conor was playing with a friend that day but said the he and his friend would do it together. They did such a good job that she told Conor that she would be calling on him this summer. He was definitely excited especially about earning some money.

I have no idea why, but I'm looking at all these pics of Conor and I'm tearing up! He looks exactly like Shane in the first pic (stance and all)...he's also gotten so tall! I guess I'm just realizing how quickly time does fly. It seems like yesterday that he was Cole's age playing on Wayne's houseboat...remember that? What a handsome young man he is becoming (both inside and out).
Wish he was here to babysit for us! We're always looking for a good one!

Oh how I wish you guys lived closer! Both of your kids are so tender and sweet as I watched them with Briley and the other little ones. Conor is so big standing in front of the white cabinet...just turning into a man in front of us!!

Ok so yeah Im with Adrian...I think its the sad music in the background and the fact that YALL ARE SOOOO FAR AWAY but yes I want to tear up...Conor is so big! He is just a little man, and I can sooo see how he would be good with the kidos, he always was such a sweetie to my little one. Tell him if he ever comes down to visit, he might have to babysit for me to ;-)
