Growing So Fast
Well, it has been ages since I have even opened this blog. I have so many pictures to upload and adventures to share. One of these days I will catch up. I thought that I would at least add a few new pictures of the kids. They are growing so fast. This year Conor has played volleyball and basketball for his middle school. He finishes basketball this weekend with a mid island tournament. His team is playing the best of the best in the mid island region. We are very excited for this opportunity. Conor has officially started football. This is his first season back since his knee surgery. It was funny because one day I was talking to his basketball coach who told me that Conor fouls like a football player. I laughed and said that he is one. Conor also dog trains with Shane and is officially the new helper that takes the bites off of dogs. This is a great bonding time for Shane and Conor. The dog club is made up mostly of adults without kids, so they think Conor hangs the moon. Lastly, Conor's drumming is coming along nicely. He recently made the worship team at our church. He had to interview and try out. He has a natural gift and loves to play. I know I am biased but he is a very talented kid. Picture of basketball will be coming soon after the tournament.
Mackensey is also growing so fast and has her hands in a few activities as well. Pictures will also come soon for these activities. Mackensey is taking voice and piano lessons. She had her first voice recital this past December and did very well. I am still having a hard time convincing her that these folk songs and Shakespearean love songs that her voice teacher has her singing has a purpose. If it was up to her, she would be singing Taylor Swift. Her teacher did let her choose a worship song to learn. Mackensey decided to try her hand at volleyball. She has done very well for her first year of playing. I just love her confidence and the way that she just enjoys life. She plays a very vital role in our Kidz Zone in the House and On the Road program at church. On Sunday afternoons she is on the First Nation reservation singing, acting and working with puppets for these children. She has such a heart for them and looks forward to going. She also leads action songs in our children's church. My heart is full that she loves to serve in the church. She definitely has such a spirit of joyfulness and servanthood. Yes, I am a proud Momma. Oh, I just had to add that picture of her sleeping. Due to the flood and repairs to our house over a course of forever -Chewy, got misplaced. I finally found it in a box one day. This was the first night with it. She is growing so fast so this picture is a keeper.
